The schedule is as follows:

First stop : your driver drive up to the Volcano On Mount Vesuvius. He will drop you close to the crater; the rest is done by foot so, pleace remenber, we highly suggest confortable walking shoes. The walk up is about 300 mt. 

Break for lunch close to the Vesuvius.

The next site to explore is Herculaneum. See how this town was destroyed by the Eruption of 79 AD as a sight is in good condition, also it is compact and a small site, easy to walk around. This day trip is not just a cultural historical experience it’s also a look at how nature can destroy and yet also leave us a trace of what occured so many years ago. So you can not miss out on this day trip and this sleeping giant and its historical effects left in time, and remember, the last time the Vesuvius erupted was in 1944!

• Stop at:   Parco Acheologico di Ercolano. At Herculaneum we will see the private houses and the shops (Bakery, Thermopolium) decorated with beautiful frescos, mosaics and stucco decorations.  
• The return to Roma is expected at 6:00 pm
